Accessibility at Fellow Intranet and LMS
Fellow Intranet and LMS comply with the guidelines of WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and are also WCAG 2.2 certified.
Accessibility is not an afterthought for us, but a structural part of our platform. We consider it essential that everyone, including users with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive impairments, can use our platform easily and independently.
By complying with WCAG 2.2, we ensure that our intranet and learning platform are accessible, user-friendly, and future-proof.
What is accessibility?
Digital accessibility means that websites, applications, and digital products are designed and developed so that they can be used by everyone, regardless of any limitations.
The international standard for this is defined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 includes guidelines related to perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness of digital environments.
How Fellow Intranet and LMS comply with WCAG 2.2
To comply with WCAG 2.2, we have implemented, among others, the following measures:
- Improved keyboard navigation: Users can now navigate the platform more efficiently using only the keyboard, without relying on a mouse.
- Improved screen reader support: Significant improvements have been made to ensure smoother interaction between our platform and screen readers, assisting users with visual impairments.
- Color contrast adjustments: We have reviewed and optimized color contrasts across the entire platform to ensure that content is easily readable for users with visual impairments.
- Accessible forms: All forms on the platform now include improved labels and error messages, making them easier to use with assistive technologies and more understandable.
Accessibility as an ongoing process
Although Fellow Intranet and LMS comply with WCAG 2.2, we view accessibility as a continuous improvement process. New insights, technological developments, and user feedback are actively incorporated into further optimizations.
Our product development team continuously monitors accessibility and makes improvements where necessary to ensure that our platform remains accessible to everyone.
